Chapter 5

Billy finally arrived at the store to get his dogs. He walked into the room with the dogs and was confused because all he saw was boxes.then the man walked up and grabbed one. He asked if Billy wanted the box. Billy said no, the man proceeded to open the box and hand Billy the dogs. The man cut two holes in Billy's bag for the pup's heads. He put the dogs in his bag and then he was on his way back home.on his way home a gang came up to him they made fun of him for a little then Billy walked on, the leader turned around and pulled on one of the pups ears. Billy had enough at that point, he set the dogs down and put his fists up. He beat the first three but after that they had got him on the floor and were kicking him all over.then it all stopped someone had scared the gang off. On his way home he stopped for the night he made a bed out of leaves and bundled up with his pups. Billy noticed many differences between the girl pup and the boy pup. The boy pup was very bold and aggressive. The girl pup was much more sure of herself and cautious. Later that night sound awoke him. He thought it was one of the pups but as it began to come closer he realized it was a mountain lion.the pups woke up and were terrified of the sound. Billy thought the cat had gotten a sense of them. The cat stopped and left
