Chapter 15 of "The Ghost Boys"

(Dead), Jerome sits and watches as Carlos walks up to the door. Kim runs down to see him, they talk for a bit then Kim walks him to where her grandmother is. Carlos sits and takes a cookie, he dips it in milk then swallows and blurts out that he gave Jerome the gun. The grandmother shows a shocked expression. Then she talks to Carlos and Kim and tells them that everything is going to be ok.  Kim, Carlos, and grandma sit together and Jerome can tell that they can make ma and pop to feel better. Which makes Jerome feel better.

Today I watched the "Mission Unstoppable" documentary. Today it talked about baby turtles and how they hatch. Next it talked about crystals and how you can grow them.  Then it talked about what happens inside your brain when you're shopping. After that it talked about how your brain talks to itself.  

Wednesday art project.

You will need a paper bag, a sheet or more of heavy paper, paint, and your 4 homemade brushes.  The bag is for underneath the paper to keep surroundings free of paint.  

Make a painting using each of your 4 brushes. Make a high horizon for a landscape of flowers or an underwater reef.  

Photograph and post your art on your blog.

Curiosity stream documentary summary for "Mission Unstopiable"

Today I watched the "Mission Unstoppable" documentary. This time the documentary talked about bats. It also talked about 3D printers and engineering. They showed us people who built a bridge and some tactics for doing so.  They talked about how kids my age could go to mars and how they are called "The Mars Generation".

A GIANT BRUSH MIGHT WORK, BUT SMALLER BRUSHES WILL ALSO BE NEEDED.

 YOU CAN DO THE FEATHER BRUSH ANY TIME YOU HAVE ACCESS TO A FEATHER.  They do show up on the beach!

Today I watched the "Mission Unstoppable" documentary. It talked about scientists making stars in a lab on earth. It also talked about a girl who invented a virtual game called "polly" that she made to help kids with disabilities to make friends. Another thing it talks about is a computer that is the fastest computer in the world and how it is 100xs colder than space. They also talked to someone whose team made four new elements.

Today I watched the "Mission Unstoppable" documentary. It talked about how people 4000 years ago made teeth replacements out of oyster shells. It also talked about earthquakes, marsquakes, and moonquakes. They also talked to a girl who studies data and how it's used and who it belongs to. That's what i learned about today.

Yesterdays reading for 'The Ghost Boys"

(Dead), the 911 operator is on the stand being questioned. Jerome describes her as a college student with red hair. Jerome talks about how Sarahs school is much better and describes how. He thinks more about how the two are different and how if he had gone to Sarah's school he would have never been late or wanted to fake being sick. Sarah sits in the library when the librarian comes over to say hi. The librarian and Sarah start talking about the Emmets and Jeromes deaths. Sarah asks if she can see Emmet. The librarian goes to her computer and searches "Emmet and till". Jerome looks away and walks out of the school.

It also talks about a girl who studies bears for a living and how she does it. They also talked about a scientist who studies how animals died one million years ago. The last thing they talked about was how you can trick your brain into thinking that you're not in pain.

Chapter 9 summary for “The Ghost Boys”

(Dead), the judge calls for a recess, Jerome thinks that it's silly to call it that because he knows recess as play time. The break ends and the lawyers start at it again. Jerome notices that the judge's face never changes. Outside he hears thousands of protesters yelling and stomping. He goes to Sarah's house and sits in her room. Jerome tries to ask her something but she doesn't answer, she just sits there and shakes. Sarah looks up Jeromes name and lots of links pop up. She clicks on one and sees that her father just shot didn't give a warning or anything. Jerome can tell that Sarah had just changed forever.

Today i watched the "Mission Unstoppable" documentary. The documentary thought about how building can help in life. It also talked a little bit about sharks. It talked about  hockey and architecture. It also talked about what California looked like 50,000 years ago.  That's what i learned about by watching the documentary today.

Draw and color a very tall Silly Sandwich with at least 12 different and easy to recognize ingredients.  Put anything in the sandwich from hampster to red onion.

Think about and use boxes, cones, eclipses, and columns to help you draw with depth to the picture. 

Just draw.  I can't wait to see  these sandwiches.

S.S summary

Today we learned about 20th century Spanish modernism.  A pandemic called the spanish flu spread that took the lives of 50 million. The Spanish flu spread to the king at the time. Pacoso started to paint reality. Pacoso is most known for his reality paintings. Galdeen was a very good builder who was put incharge of building a new church. Some of the church still isn't done but once it is it will be the tallest church in the world

Sage lives in a cave hidden deep in the forest. This cave has a magical mushroom village with lots of plants and neon colors. She lives in a red mushroom house with white spots on it with her pet frog and some friends. Sage is a garden fairy so she spends most of her time in the garden, she has fairy dust that can revive any plant. 

Sage sits there watering the garden thinking about how all she wants is peace in her village, but she can't have that because there is a giant corrupting their village. The only way they can defeat it is by traveling into the forest to find the magic item. She dozes off for hours and hours thinking about what will happen next. She then realizes that almost all of the plants have died, so she spends lots of time reviving them. She sits there wondering how the guardians are going to get the item to save the village.

Sage gets called to the guardians palice in the village. As she flies up to the pa\lice  she sees green vines creeping up the side. She goes inside to be told that they are going on an adventure to get the magical item. They have 5 days to pack, she leaves the palace and starts freaking out not knowing what to pack or anything like that. She goes back to her mushroom house and sits on her bed. She asks her roommates to take care of her front while she's gone, her friends agreed. Five days go by and they have to go on this adventure now. 

They get everything they need and head out of the village. The giant didn't mind people leaving, but if you tried to come back that's where he had a problem. So they pass py the giant and out of the cave. Once there out all they see is huge trees and plants, all they see is greens and browns. They look at the map and they start heading for the magical item. They soon find out that they don't have to go very far. They get to the magical item and they have to solve a puzzle to take it. Sage puts puzzles together in her free time so she goes for the challenge. She walked up to the puzzle and it took her 15 minutes to do but she did it, she had solved the puzzle. All of the fairies and guardians rush up to the bag. Sage grabs it and opens it. She sees another bag that's tan and has blue shining out. She opens the second bag and its dust. 

They figure that they have to sprinkle it on the giant. So they head back home and just before they go back into the cave they make a plan. Sage hands each one of the fairies a little bit of dust. then they go in. They all fly up high above the giants and sprinkle dust on the giant but it doesn't work.  Sage thinks for a second and then she rushes past the giant and gets a bucket of water she puts some dust in it and then flies back to the rest of the fairies. She tells them to distract the giant. They fly around and as the giant opens his mouth to yell and sage pors the water into his mouth. The giant stops what he's doing and starts to shrink. He sits there confused not knowing what happened. He looks around and sees neon colors and lots of plants. They fly up to him and offer him a house he agrees and they all had a happy rest of there life in peace. 

Section 8 summary for "The Ghost Boys"

(Dead) Jerome and Emmett sit on the steps outside of the church. They start to talk about baseball and how they miss it. Emmet admits that he's not very good at baseball and how he's better at bullying. Emmett talks about how he wishes he didn't have feelings. Emmett asks Jerome how he died, Jerome looked at him and decided that Emmett wasn't ready to hear it. 

Section 7 summary for "The Ghost Boys". this was yesterdays reading

(Dead) Jerome is talking to Sarah while sitting on her bed, and he finds out that the cop that killed him is on paid leave and he isn't happy about it. Jerome learns more about Sarah's life and realizes that even if he was alive they would be in two different worlds. As they talk he wonders if his dad knows that the cop that killed him is getting paid. He looks at her books and thinks about how much his sister Kim would love to be able to write her name in a book to claim it as her own. He starts getting mad and expresses the fact that he just wants to move on and that he doesn't care how he died he just wants it to be done with.

Chapter 6 summary of “The Ghost Boys”

(Dead), Jerome watches and listens to what's happening in the courtroom. He watches as the lawyer questions the cop that killed him. He looks at the judge and thinks about how her face looks like a mask. As the cop is still being questioned he sees the ghost boy sit by the cop's daughter. Sahra (the cop's daughter), looks up and sees the ghost boys. It seems that Sarah doesn't care if she can see them or not. All she cares about is the judge to realize that her dad is lying. The lawyer asks for a lunch break, the judge approves and Sarah and the ghost boy walk out of the room together and they both look back to see Jerome.

Chapter 5 summary of “The Ghost Boys ”

(Alive), Carlos sits across from Jerome in every class they have and Jerome notices that sometimes Carlos is very tired and he's skinny as well. He's very tired from that day and he thinks how he doesn't like having the thought of how he's going to keep himself safe. The bell finally rings. He runs out of the school and waits for his sister, and to his surprise Carlos comes up to him and says lets hang out. Jerome accepts his offer, Carlos pulls out a toy gun and asks if Jerome would like to play, Jerome says no but Carlos guilts him into doing it. Carlos hands Jerome the toy and asks him to give it back the next day. Jerome stays silent to the sound of his sister calling his name. His sister comes up to the two boys and sees the gun so she steps away. Jerome tells her that it's just a toy, Jerome says no to the offer. Carlos keeps pushing and wants him to take it, Jerome re thinks it and says that he wants the toy. He walks home and begs his sister not to tell, she puts her hand in his and that how he knows she will keep his secret.

S.S summary

Today we learned about how Spain lost its empire. A British ship made a blockade and fought with France in the sea. There was a wall helping Spain stay safe from France but they launched balls that made it. Napoleon agreed to make Ferdinand king of spain. The main battle ship exploded and the usa used it to take side with Cuba against spain. The USA  military beat Spains, Spain lost the battle so Spain lost their empire.

Chapter summary for "The Ghost Boys"

(Alive), In class that day Mr. Myers introduced a new student. Jerome sees that because the teacher put him on the spot that Carlos is about to cry, so he speaks up in spanish so Carlos can understand what's happening. Jerome feels bad though because hola is all he knows. After class Carlos asks him about lunch so Jerome shows him what to do. Once they get their food they run up to the highest floor of the school and have their lunch in the bathroom stalls. They talk and then have a little fun by making a tune on the walls. Then they hear shoes squeak on the ground Jerome knows its mike instantly, they open each bathroom stall door they cant open Jeromes  because his is locked but carlos didn't lock his. The boys fling the door open and drag him out, one twists his arm harder and harder until Carlos decides he has had enough. He kicks back and jerks his arm free but snap and mike put him on the ground and kick him. Jerome says that he's going to tell, all of the boys stop and threaten him.

S.S. summary

Today we learned about the burin kings. Spain had to give up a lot of their things so that they could keep their land at peace. Philip the 5th united Spain and then after he passed it down to his kids. There was an artist that was the only person who could make the king happy. The government was helping people by opening more hospitals and universities and they made it so that women can also be educated. The king would leave for a trip, but while he was gone the queen was having an affair with the guard. King Charles was forced to give his throne to Napoleon 

Chapter 3 summary of "The Ghost Boys"

(Dead) Jerome sits there watching everyone in the apartment, he looks at his mom and sees her walking around. It almost looks like she's looking for him. His pa is yelling into the phone talking to the layers and news reporters. At night all he sees in terrible dark shadows and everyone can't sleep well. He finds it weird that wherever he goes his grandma looks in that direction until he follows his mom the she looks away. The next day everyone gets dressed to go to Jeromes funeral. They all walk in and suddenly Jerome's ghost friend is next to him. They talk then Jerome reaches out to touch him but then he disappears.

"The Ghost Boys" chapter 2 summary

(Dead). Jerome sits in the room of his house and looks at everyone. He went to reach for food but his hand passed right through. He went into his room and saw his mom laying on his bed, crying. The site of this made him want to smash something into the ground. He sits in his doorway and watches as the rest of his family comes in the room. They talk about how they need to pray. At midnight he goes into the living room and sees someone that looks just like him in his kitchen then the boy disappears. Jerome looks out the window and sees him again soft like rain and wonders if it's another ghost like him.

Jerome sees his body on the ground and describes how it feels. Then it flashes back to a day before the accident, when his grandma and mother were talking to him. Then he and his sister leave for school. On their way Jermone talks about what the street looks like and how they can't walk too fast like they're running, but also can't walk too slow like they want someone to stop them. Then he states that there was a meth lab that exploded and they cleaned it up and made it into a basketball court. He and his sister continue walking, thinking about how pathetic their attempt was. They get to school and him and his sister go there separate ways. He sees the kids who bullied him and he hopes that they will find a different target just like he hopes to win the lottery one day.
