Week 6 of this Friday adventure was a big day! Lots of new challenges and some practice of familiar skills. Roast chicken rubbed with fresh lemon and Spanish Paprika surrounded by chunky carrots and sweet potatoes turned out so inviting that I forgot to take a photo before we dived into it! Next time a larger chicken will be in order! Planning ahead and reviewing our recipe for prep and cooking times with a specific desired serving time in mind was a new concept today.
Our second project was something new to me, as well. Potato Croquettes, with Spanish Paprika. Creamy and fluffy inside, crispy fried outside. Making the batons, and then dipping and 'crumbing' them was a pretty fun and messy affair, but worth the effort. Next time maybe just a bit more pepper! Another fun day, Thanks to two willing Cooking experimenters!
